There's no place like home for Lyford, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They blew past the Rio Hondo Bobcats 3-0 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won seven in a row.

The final score came out to 25-5, 25-12, 25-19.

Lyford's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Rio Hondo, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lyford is set to challenge their familiar foe Santa Rosa at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Rio Hondo will take on rival IDEA Weslaco Pike at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
