Volleyball Recap: New West Charter Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Jordan, New West Charter was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Horace Mann UCLA Community Panthers. The win was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

While New West Charter won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-15, 25-19.

New West Charter's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Horace Mann UCLA Community, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when New West Charter Eagles challenge King/Drew Golden Eagles at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. New West Charter is facing King/Drew at the right time seeing as King/Drew is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Horace Mann UCLA Community, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Larchmont Charter at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
