Basketball Game Preview: Warden Cougars vs. Tri-Cities Prep Jaguars

Warden is 0-7 against Tri-Cities Prep since December of 2021 but things could change on Friday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Warden Cougars face off against the Tri-Cities Prep Jaguars at 7:30 p.m.

Warden came up short against Columbia on Tuesday, falling 71-48. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 269th, while the Coyotes are ranked ninth).

Meanwhile, Tri-Cities Prep didn't have too much trouble with Sunnyside Christian on Tuesday as they won 57-40. That's two games straight that the Jaguars have won by exactly 17 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Warden and nudges their season record down to 3-14. As for Tri-Cities Prep, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Warden was taken down by Tri-Cities Prep 74-40 in their previous matchup on January 7th. Can Warden avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
