Basketball Recap: Harrison Raiders vs. Kokomo Wildkats

After losing to Kokomo the last time they met, Harrison decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Harrison Raiders walked away with a 70-59 victory over the Kokomo Wildkats on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Raiders sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Harrison got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Reid Smith out in front who went 7 for 11 en route to 21 points. Smith's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Malachi King was another key player, going 6 of 9 on his way to 21 points and eight rebounds.

Harrison was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kokomo only racked up ten assists.

Harrison has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.7 points per game. As for Kokomo, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-3.

Harrison wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 66-33 victory against Benton Central on the 24th.
