Softball Recap: Perry Snags Eighth Victory in Last Ten Games

Perry posted their closest victory since March 25th on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Ursuline Fighting Irish 4-2.

Perry saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Arianna Rogers, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Perry is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Ursuline, their loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Perry will take on Conneaut at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ursuline, they will venture away from home to face off against Hubbard at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Fighting Irish's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season.
