 The Piscataway Vo-Tech Raiders will head out on the road to  face off against  the Piscataway Chiefs at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Piscataway took a loss in their last  contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Piscataway Vo-Tech, who comes in off a win.
 On Tuesday, Piscataway Vo-Tech narrowly escaped with a  win as the  team sidled past Plainfield  10-9.
  Jacob Lyerly made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  struck out eight batters over  six innings while giving up just one earned  (and seven unearned) runs off   eight  hits. Lyerly was even better at the plate,  firing off three  triples, two  stolen bases,  and three  RBI while going 4-for-4.
 Lyerly wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Colton Lyerly, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-4.
 Meanwhile, Piscataway didn't have quite enough to beat Edison last Monday and fell  2-1. Piscataway has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Piscataway Vo-Tech's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Piscataway, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.
 Piscataway Vo-Tech might still be hurting after the  9-0 loss they got from Piscataway  when the teams last played  back in May of 2016. Thankfully for Piscataway Vo-Tech,  John Swier (who   didn't allow a single  earned run and  only one  hit while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched) won't be suiting up this time.
