Softball Recap: Lafayette County Takes a Loss

Lafayette County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 17-5 to the Blevins Hornets. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Lafayette County's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Blevins, they moved to 1-1 with that victory, which also ended their 15-game losing streak.

Lafayette County has already played their next contest (against Emerson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Blevins will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Cutter-Morning Star at 4:30 p.m. on March 31st.
