Volleyball Recap: Central Find Success + How To Watch

After losing to Fivay the last time they met, Central decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bears blew past the Falcons 3-0 on Thursday.

Central not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Fivay between 15 and 18 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-18, 25-18.

Central's offense was headlined by Nathalia Charles and Jaylene Sanchez, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Lacie Bigger and her 20 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Central's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Fivay, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

After both having extra time off, Central and South Sumter will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Fivay, they will host River Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Royal Knights will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight.
