Volleyball Recap: Central Victorious + How To Watch

Central lost to Fivay back in August of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Bears blew past the Falcons 3-0.

Central not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Fivay between 15 and 18 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-18, 25-18.

Central's offense was headlined by Nathalia Charles and Jaylene Sanchez, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Lacie Bigger and her 20 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

When it comes to explaining why Fivay lost, don't look at Aaliyah Ciardullo. Despite the final result, she had 17 digs and six kills. Sydney Mularz was another key player, getting 11 digs and two aces.

Central's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Fivay, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against South Sumter on the 3rd. As for Fivay, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against River Ridge on the 4th.
