Softball Recap: Patterson Gets the Win

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Patterson). They had just enough and edged out the Hughson Huskies 8-7 on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Jazmine Isom was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and one triple. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Petunia Gonzales was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Patterson was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Patterson's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-1-2. As for Hughson, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 1-1-1.

Coming up, Patterson will take on Merced in a tournament on Saturday. As for Hughson, they will challenge Central Valley at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday.
