Baseball Recap: Concordia/Brownell/Omaha Christian Academy Snags Sixth Win in Last Eight Games

Dakota Hughes made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Andrew Moulton, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April.

Concordia/Brownell/Omaha Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.9 runs over those games. As for Fort Calhoun, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-6.
