Baseball Recap: West Perry Mustangs vs. Northern York Polar Bears

After a string of three wins, West Perry's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of the Northern York Polar Bears by a score of 8-6. West Perry was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Northern York apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

For Northern York's part, they got a great performance from Oskar Dees as he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits.

The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Kendall, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

West Perry's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-10. As for Northern York, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-10.

While West Perry had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
