Soccer Game Preview: Oak Park vs. Maranatha

The Oak Park Eagles will take on the Maranatha Minutemen in a holiday battle at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Oak Park fell victim to South Pasadena and their airtight defense on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The loss was Oak Park's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Maranatha also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Peninsula on Saturday, falling 4-0.

Maranatha has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4-3 record this season. As for Oak Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-1-1.
