Meanwhile, Halifax County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 62-61 heartbreaker at the hands of Mecklenburg County.

George Washington's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-1. As for Halifax County, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.

George Washington didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Halifax County in their previous meeting on January 7th, but they still walked away with a 76-70 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for George Washington since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
