Recap: Tri County Area Vikings vs. Grant Tigers
The Tri County Area Vikings's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their ninth straight loss. They took a 61-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Grant. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Tri County Area's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Andrew Lenon, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lenon has scored all season. Trenton McNees was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two steals.
Tri County Area's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-9. As for Grant, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.
Tri County Area will head out on the road to take on Morley Stanwood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Morley Stanwood is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Grant, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Central Montcalm at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Central Montcalm is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
