Petaluma hadn't done well against Terra Linda recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Petaluma walked away with a 3-1 victory over Terra Linda. This was payback for Petaluma, who suffered a 2-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Petaluma had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 14-25, 25-22, 25-20, 25-19.

The win made it two in a row for Petaluma and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Terra Linda, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Petaluma will venture away from home to take on Vintage at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give the Trojans their first taste of in-conference action this season. After both having extra time off, Terra Linda and Maria Carrillo will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
