Soccer Recap: Prosper Takes a Loss

Prosper and Coppell squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Prosper had to settle for second. While the 3-3 score might suggest a draw, it was the Cowboys who were credited with the win. The Coppell Cowboys got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Prosper Eagles' two. While losing is never fun, Prosper can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 198th, while Coppell are ranked 15th).

Lucas Tauzin and Cole Kaipus scored all three of Prosper's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Prosper's loss dropped their record down to 10-7-1. As for Coppell, they pushed their record up to 17-1-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home.

Prosper does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Coppell, they will take on Irving on Monday. Irving will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Coppell surely won't give up without a fight.
