Soccer Recap: Stover Comes Up Short

After flying high against Fatima last Monday, Stover came back down to earth. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Crocker Lions by a score of 2-1 on Monday. Stover were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Crocker apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Stover has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those four matchups. As for Crocker, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Stover has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against St. Paul Lutheran on the 13th. As for Crocker, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Cole Camp on the 12th.
