The Martin County Tigers will head out to take on the Centennial Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Last Thursday, Martin County made easy work of Central and carried off a 12-2 win.

The team relied heavily on Kalei Bertke, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Ciana Vargas, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Martin County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They are 6-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, Centennial never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past Port St. Lucie 12-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Rayne Cohen was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Cohen was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.

In other batting news, Centennial let Jaelyn Cooke and Lauralei Wetherall run wild. Cooke scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-2, while Wetherall went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple was Wetherall's first of the season. Centennial pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
