Silver put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Friday. They blew past the Chaparral Lobos 15-0. Considering the Fighting Colts have won 17 matchups by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Ariel Alvarado was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one triple.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Maria Ruelaz, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Sophia Nemeth, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Silver has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs over those games. As for Chaparral, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 14 of their last 15 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-20 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Silver beat Chaparral by a score of 18-0 later that day.
