Mount Desert Island posted their closest win since September 8th on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Ellsworth Eagles 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 on October 2nd.

Mount Desert Island was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (96-93), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 14-25, 25-22, 14-25, 25-20, 15-4.

Mount Desert Island moved to 7-7 with that victory, which also ended their three-match losing streak. As for Ellsworth, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 7-7.
