Baseball Game Preview: Lutheran South Academy Pioneers vs. Logos Prep Academy Lions

The Lutheran South Academy Pioneers will take on the Logos Prep Academy Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lutheran South Academy has 14 straight wins, Logos Prep Academy has eight straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Lutheran South Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Emery/Weiner get on the board and left with a 17-0 victory on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Pioneers, who have now won 14 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Logos Prep Academy faced off against Brazos on March 11th. Logos Prep Academy fell just short of Brazos by a score of 7-5.

Brayden Tibbetts was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February of 2024. Mason Vickers also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Lutheran South Academy's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 23-1-1. As for Logos Prep Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.
