Recap: Lake Norman Wildcats vs. West Rowan Falcons
The Lake Norman Wildcats put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by West Rowan on the road to the tune of 78-49. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-18.
Santana Lynch continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points along with 8 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Googins, who scored 12 points.
West Rowan's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elijah Holmes, who scored 9 points. Another player making a difference was Romir Hairston, who scored 8 points.
Lake Norman pushed their record up to 7-0 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points per game. As for West Rowan, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.
Lake Norman will head out on the road to face off against Mount Tabor at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Rowan, they will be playing at home against East Rowan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
