Baseball Preview: Hoover Patriots vs. Buchanan Bears
The Hoover Patriots will face off against the Buchanan Bears at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Hoover comes in on nine and Buchanan on 12.
On Thursday, Hoover was able to grind out a solid win over Madera South, taking the game 7-3.

A J Escamilla tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over 5.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

Hoover pushed their record up to 9-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.6 runs over those games. As for Buchanan, their win bumped their record up to 12-2.
