Basketball Game Preview: Dunedin Falcons vs. East Lake Eagles

Dunedin hasn't had much luck against East Lake recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Dunedin Falcons just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the East Lake Eagles at 7:45 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Dunedin easily dispatched Northeast last Wednesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Dunedin fell just short of St. Petersburg Catholic by a score of 47-44 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Falcons have suffered since January 24, 2024.

Meanwhile, East Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 53-40 to Boca Ciega.

East Lake's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Dunedin, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Dunedin was dealt a bruising 67-31 loss at the hands of East Lake in their previous matchup back in November of 2023. Can Dunedin avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
