Antelope Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 63-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Palmdale Falcons. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Antelopes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-47 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Antelope Valley saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Esceryn Archie posted 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Archie has scored all season. Malik Washington was another key player, putting up 13 points.
Palmdale's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ethan Thornton, who scored 19 points. Those 19 points gave Thornton a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Toles, who put up 14 points.
Antelope Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Palmdale, the victory snapped their losing streak at 11 games and leaves them with a 4-19 record.
Antelope Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 72-34 loss against Highland on the 31st. As for Palmdale, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 40-36 defeat against Littlerock on the 31st.
