Softball Recap: Garfield Takes a Loss

After flying high against Eagle Rock last Friday, Garfield came back down to earth. The Garfield Bulldogs came up short against the Venice Gondoliers on Wednesday, falling 12-5. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 11-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Jema Aguiar was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Garfield now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Venice, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Coming up, Garfield is taking a road trip to challenge Mark Keppel at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Venice, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Culver City at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
