Baseball Recap: Sulphur Bluff Comes Up Short

Sulphur Bluff and Dodd City squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Sulphur Bluff had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 5-4. The Bears were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hornets earlier this season, when they won 14-1.

Sulphur Bluff has also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-12-2 record this season. As for Dodd City, their victory bumped their record up to 6-16.

Sulphur Bluff does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dodd City, they will square off against Bryson at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hornets will need to watch out since the Cowboys have now posted at least ten runs in their last five contests.
