Basketball Recap: Van-Far Skates Past Wright City with Ease

Van-Far's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Clopton on Friday. The Van-Far Indians blew past the Wright City Wildcats 78-41. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 20 points or more this season.

Van-Far's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carson Huff, who went 9-for-13 to rack up 23 points and five rebounds. What's more, Huff also posted a 75% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Pacey Reading was another key player, going 6-for-13 on his way to 17 points and eight boards.

Van-Far has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 45.3 points. Wright City's record is now 6-17.

The future could be bright for both Van-Far and Wright City: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Van-Far will try to hand Silex their eighth-straight loss when the two meet at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Wright City will look to extend Collegiate Medicine & Bioscience's three-game losing streak when they meet at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
