Basketball Recap: United South Takes a Loss

United South lost against Alexander back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The United South Panthers took a 74-59 bruising from the Alexander Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 258th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 64th).

United South's loss dropped their record down to 20-12. As for Alexander, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 20 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 27-5 record this season.

Looking ahead, United South will host United at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in United's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 11 contests. As for Alexander, they will head out on the road to take on Del Rio at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
