Softball Recap: Speedway Sparkplugs vs. North Putnam Cougars

Speedway had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 9-5 victory over the North Putnam Cougars on Monday. For Speedway, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 defeat North Putnam walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2015.

Hayli Clampitt was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. Clampitt has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in three consecutive pitching appearances.
