Baseball Recap: Corvallis Comes Up Short

If Corvallis was feeling good fresh off their 11-2 takedown of Dallas on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spartans fell just short of the Dragons by a score of 8-6 on Wednesday. The Spartans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Dragons earlier this season, when they won 11-2.

Logan Lassiter made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Price, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Corvallis' defeat dropped their record down to 21-7. As for Dallas, they pushed their record up to 18-7 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Corvallis does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dallas, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pendleton at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
