Basketball Recap: Adams Central Makes It Five in a Row on the Road

Adams Central's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They strolled past the Kearney Catholic Stars with points to spare, taking the game 53-37. The Patriots pushed the score to 49-25 by the end of the third, a deficit the Stars cut but never quite recovered from.

It was another big night for Hunter Nepple, who posted 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brodie Luksan, who put up 11 points.

Despite the loss, Kearney Catholic still got an impressive performance from Owen Axmann, who earned 12 points. Oliver Sharp was another key player, putting up six points.

Adams Central pushed their record up to 15-8 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points over those games. As for Kearney Catholic, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Adams Central beat Kearney Catholic by a score of 50-36 on Tuesday.
