Recap: Littleton Lions vs. D'Evelyn Jaguars
The Littleton Lions's game on Friday was all tied up 25-25 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 53-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of D'Evelyn. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Littleton in their matchups with D'Evelyn: they've now lost five in a row.
Several Lions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jacy Chandler, who scored 17 points. Chandler hasn't dropped below 15 points for three straight games. Penny Urquhart was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
D'Evelyn's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Macy Scheer, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Mcmann, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Littleton now has a losing record at 8-9. As for D'Evelyn, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 15-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Littleton will take on Conifer at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for D'Evelyn, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Alameda at 6:00 p.m.
