            There's no place like home for Sparta, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  last Saturday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Bradleyville Eagles  a   15-0 shutout  on Monday. The  win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.
 Phoenix Holt was a major factor no matter where he played. He  tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Holt was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing three bases while going 1-for-2.

 In other batting news, Sparta let  Austin Humble and  Conner Robinson run wild. Humble  scored three  runs and  stole three bases while going 1-for-3, while  Robinson  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances. Sparta is undefeated when  Humble posts two or  more  runs, but 2-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jase Applegate, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-2.
 Sparta  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .542. They are  a perfect 3-0 when  they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Sparta pushed their record up to 5-5 with the  victory, which was their third straight  at home. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Bradleyville,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-4.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sparta will take on Blue Eye at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Bradleyville, they will square off against Greenfield at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
