Volleyball Recap: Andover Falls Short Against Ranked Chelmsford

Andover faced Chelmsford in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Golden Warriors fell 3-1 to the Lions. The loss put an end to the Golden Warriors' undefeated start to the season.

Andover was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Chelmsford work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 22-25, 25-16, 25-20.

Jessie Wang paced Andover's offense, picking up 15 kills. Wang got some help from Tina Zheng and her 16 assists.

Having lost for the first time this season, Andover fell to 6-1. As for Chelmsford, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Andover didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Central Catholic on the 22nd. As for Chelmsford, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Billerica Memorial on the 22nd.
