Alvin is a perfect 4-0 against South Houston since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Alvin Yellowjackets will welcome the South Houston Trojans at 12:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Alvin is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Pearland just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They lost 15-3 to the Oilers.

Meanwhile, South Houston fell victim to Sam Rayburn and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Texans, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Trojans' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Alvin's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 3-9. As for South Houston, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-11.

Alvin skirted past South Houston 1-0 in their previous matchup back in April of 2016. Will Alvin repeat their success, or does South Houston have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
