Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Alburnett). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the East Buchanan Buccaneers a 13-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Buccaneers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Alburnett pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for East Buchanan, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Alburnett beat the Buccaneers by a score of 6-2 later that day.
