Basketball Recap: Reed-Custer Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Reed-Custer suffered their biggest loss since February 25th on Monday. They had to suffer through a 64-30 loss at the hands of the Manteno Panthers. The Comets haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Reed-Custer lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Alyssa Wollenzien, who posted 11 points. That was a full 36.7% of Reed-Custer's points, marking the eighth time in a row Wollenzien has put up more than a third of the team's points. Isabel Toller also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Reed-Custer now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Manteno, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Reed-Custer will be home for the holidays to greet Somonauk/Leland at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Manteno, they will welcome Beecher at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
