Volleyball Recap: Pentucket Regional Triumphs + How To Watch

Pentucket Regional posted their closest victory since September 15th on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Essex Tech Hawks 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

Pentucket Regional wouldn't go down easily and took Essex Tech into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-17, 14-25, 26-28, 16-14.

Amelia Crowe paced Pentucket Regional's offense, picking up eight kills. Crowe got some help from Michaela Gabardi and her 18 assists. Ellie DeRosa controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Despite the loss, Essex Tech still got an impressive performance from Chloe McGillivray, who had 26 digs and three aces. McGillivray is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Pentucket Regional now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Essex Tech, they moved to 10-9 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

Looking ahead, Pentucket Regional will head out on the road to take on North Andover at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Essex Tech, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Medford on the 21st.
