Softball Recap: Hamilton's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Hamilton got themselves on the board against Haleyville on Wednesday, but Haleyville never followed suit. They came out on top against the Haleyville Lions by a score of 5-0. The win was familiar territory for the Aggies, who have now won three matches in a row.

Brilyn Gilstrap and Darcy Tittle did most of the damage at the plate: Gilstrap scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Tittle scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Tittle also put up a triple, which was her first of the season. Jessica Shotts was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.

The victory got Hamilton back to even at 10-10. As for Haleyville, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Looking ahead, Hamilton is taking a road trip to challenge Hoover at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hamilton's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Hoover's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Haleyville, they will be playing at home against Hamilton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
