Clarke County and Strasburg are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2018, but likely not for long. The Eagles will welcome the Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games Clarke County has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Thursday, Clarke County didn't have quite enough to beat Page County and fell 7-6.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Strasburg, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They blew past Rappahannock County 11-1 on Friday. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by six runs or more this season.

Ava Mayhew and Karaline Brill did most of the damage at the plate: Mayhew went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Brill went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most stolen bases Brill has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Camille Greco, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Clarke County's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-7. As for Strasburg, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.

Clarke County couldn't quite finish off Strasburg when the teams last played back in April of 2024 and fell 4-2. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
