Basketball Recap: Union Catholic Takes a Loss

Union Catholic was the 51-25 winner over Mount St. Dominic Academy when they last played one another back in January of 2016, but their luck changed this time around. The Union Catholic Vikings were just a bucket shy of victory on Sunday and fell 22-21 to the Mount St. Dominic Academy Lions. The matchup marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

The loss snapped Union Catholic's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-2 record. As for Mount St. Dominic Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.

Union Catholic has already played their next contest (against Watchung Hills Regional), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Mount St. Dominic Academy will be playing at home against West Orange at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Orange will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Mount St. Dominic Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
