Football Recap: Discovery Comes Up Short

Discovery lost against Collins Hill back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Titans were outmatched by the Eagles and fell 42-7. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 421st, while the Eagles are ranked 74th).

Chase Wilson threw for 51 yards and one touchdown.

Collins Hill was led to victory by Joel Bradford and A.J. Bush. Bradford rushed for 49 yards and one TD, while Bush threw for 85 yards and a pair of touchdowns. What's more, Bush racked up 127.1 passer rating, the most he's had since back in August.

Discovery's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Collins Hill, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.

Discovery does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Collins Hill, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Lowndes at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. The Vikings' defense has only allowed 11.4 points per game this season, so the Eagles' offense will have their work cut out for them.
