Softball Recap: Lakeside Comes Up Short

Lakeside fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Greenbrier on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 14-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolfpack. The Panthers have struggled against the Wolfpack recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

ADDISON HAM was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was LAUREN CONLEY, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Lakeside's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Greenbrier, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-8.

While Lakeside had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
