Volleyball Game Preview: Marion Eagles vs. Pentwater Falcons

The Marion Eagles will face off against the Pentwater Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Marion is headed into the contest having just posted their closest win since October 2nd last Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Grand Traverse Academy, sneaking past 1-0. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won four in a row.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Pentwater and Baldwin had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Falcons skirted past the Panthers 1-0.

The win got Marion back to even at 9-9-2. As for Pentwater, their victory bumped their record up to 8-16-1.

Marion came out on top in a nail-biter against Pentwater when the teams last played back in September of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
