Union County's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top against the Knightstown Panthers by a score of 7-4. The win continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won seven in a row.

Kamora Klingman spent all seven innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits.

On the hitting side, Union County's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Braylen Rudnick, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. Harly Pilgrim was another, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI.

Union County's record is now 3-5. As for Knightstown, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-4.

Union County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 12-2 loss against Northeastern on the 23rd. As for Knightstown, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-5 win against Rushville on the 23rd.
