Chavez has gone a perfect 10-0 against Arleta recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Chavez is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Chavez turned things around against Verdugo Hills on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Dons 4-2.

Gabby Duran and Lenina Garcia dominated on the mound. Duran tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits, while Garcia pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Duran has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 18 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jordan Billingsley was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jessica Ramos, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Arleta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of San Fernando.

ADRIANA VASQUEZ DURAN was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one triple. LEILANI GURROLA was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Chavez's victory bumped their record up to 10-12. As for Arleta, their loss dropped their record down to 9-13.

Everything went Chavez's way against Arleta in their previous meeting back in April, as Chavez made off with a 12-3 win. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
