Volleyball Recap: Kennedy Takes a Loss

Kennedy extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 11-11. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hinkley Thunder. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Thunder this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in August.

As for Hinkley, the win snapped their losing streak at five matches and leaves them with a 13-9 record. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted against Kennedy since September 21, 2021.

Leading Hinkley to victory were Jeralyn Navarro and Lizbeth Romero. Navarro had 28 digs and one assist, while Romero had 18 digs. Those 28 digs gave Navarro a new career-high.

Kennedy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Bruce Randolph on the 28th. As for Hinkley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against DSST: Green Valley Ranch on the 28th.
