Independence has gone 9-1 against Marion-Franklin recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Independence 76ers will take on the Marion-Franklin Red Devils in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m.

Independence is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 45-44 to Briggs. The 76ers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Marion-Franklin got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They came out on top against West by a score of 46-33 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Red Devils.

Marion-Franklin's win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5. As for Independence, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Everything came up roses for Independence against Marion-Franklin in their previous matchup back in January, as the team secured a 53-17 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Independence since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
